Teton River Recreation Survey Live Now!

The Greater Yellowstone region has experienced a significant increase in visitation in recent years, and the Teton River is no exception. Preliminary data (compilation incomplete at this writing) suggests that summer recreation on the Teton River may have tripled since 2018. Although some of this increase may be attributed to recreation pattern changes due to Covid-19, the fact remains that river use on the Teton has been growing for years.

This survey, sponsored by Teton County, Idaho, Idaho Fish and Game, Friends of the Teton River and The Teton Regional Land Trust, is an opportunity for stakeholders and recreational users to describe their river experiences and identify possible management strategies.

The results of this survey, along with user data collected over recent floating seasons, will be presented to the public in a virtual planning meeting, tentatively scheduled for mid-November, 2021 (exact time and date to be announced).
