Scholarships
FTR offers a summer scholarship for a local high school student. Through hands-on work with experts in the field, this student has the opportunity to explore and gain experience in a water-related career. Since 2004, high school interns have worked 40 hours per week during the summer on a variety of projects including: assisting the Juvenile Trout Researcher, testing water quality throughout the valley, helping the Habitat Assessment Researcher to analyze geomorphic conditions of the Teton River, surveying Yellowstone Cutthroat trout populations in the mountain tributaries, streambank restoration, data entry and community outreach. For more information on scholarship opportunities for high school students, contact Education Director Amy Verbeten at 208-354-3871. Or, view the application guidelines and submit an application on-line.
